146 Hours Outside - August 2022

August - 146 hours (800 total)

As I was looking back over this month, I realized that I spent more nights away from home than in my own bed!  We tagged along on Lucas' work trip and spent 2 nights in Raleigh, I took the boys to my parents' house in Indiana for 10 nights (2 of those at a campground), and I left the boys with Daddy for 5 nights while I had a pre-baby solitude retreat.  It's good to travel, and it's good to be home!  In Indiana, we got tons of time outside at the parks and farmer's market in my hometown, at our favorite campground, and in the yard and neighborhood.  Our neighborhood isn't conducive to a lot of bike-riding, but my parents' neighborhood is perfect for it (flat, quiet, room to explore but not get lost).  We spent plenty of time in our front yard and also took bins of games and activities to local parks and just stayed there for several hours.  We tried to avoid the hottest times of the day, which sometimes meant going outside first thing in the morning.  We pushed it at the end of the month to be able to reach the milestone of 800 hours outside!

Here’s our month in daily 1 second increments:
