Lexington Parks - Liberty Park

Liberty Park (2789 Liberty Road)
Location - on the corner of Liberty and Star Shoot, across from Liberty Elementary
Playground? no (but it connect to Liberty Elementary, which has a playground that is available during non-school hours)
Trails? yes (paved)
Other? creek

While this park doesn't have a playground, it does have some good paved walking trails. Eventually, the city plans on connecting these trails to the ones across Man o'War to Pleasant Ridge and Deer Haven Parks.

It was a Friday, which is normally our pizza night. Since we were out and about, we swung by Little Caesars for a hot and ready pizza and had a pizza picnic.

These pictures make me so happy with Colson shoveling pizza in his mouth that I just had to include all of them.

Then we went exploring. The boys loved hearing their echoing voices under this bridge (Star Shoot Pkwy) and playing on the rocks.

Before we knew it, it was sunset and time to head home. We'll come back to this one later to go farther on the trails.

(Note: We have visited 40+ parks in Lexington since the beginning of Covid. These are not meant to be extensive reviews but more a record of our experiences. Eventually I will add hyperlinks to all the blog entries here)
