This is an example of not realizing what a park has to offer when you only come for the playground. We had come here to play on the playground during our last blitz of Lexington Parks in 2015. During that time, we never ventured past the playground. This time around, we avoided the playground and hit the walking path. It was a hot, sunny day, and the trail doesn't really provide any shade, but it was a nice little walk for us. I didn't get many pictures because this is back when I was focused more on getting the "sign" picture and less on having pictures to fill a blog post!
