Lexington Parks - Zandale

Zandale Park (750 Zandale Dr)
Location - in Zandale neighborhood, near Arboretum and Nicholasville Road
Playground? no
Trails? no
Other? creekbed (often dry), bridge, picnic table

There's not a whole lot to this park, but it provides a nice shady green space to run around in. I also enjoyed walking along the creekbed although there was some glass mixed in with the rocks. We went here a couple times over the summer.  One time, we saw a mom there with two kids. She had set out a blanket and the kids were happily playing and running around. She inspired me to just let the kids play, even if there aren't any amenities or playgrounds or trails.

Stopping for a snack

Learning to walk!

That hair! That smile!

(Note: We visited all 88 LFUCG parks in the span of a Covid year -- mid-March 2020 to February 2021. These are not meant to be extensive reviews but more a record of our experiences. Eventually I will add hyperlinks to all the blog entries here)
