Lexington Parks - Masterson Station

Masterson Station Park (3051 Leestown Road)
Location - off Leestown Road, near Masterson Station neighborhood and Masterson Hills Park
Playground? yes
Trails? yes (paved and unpaved)
Other? creek, baseball fields, open fields, geocaches. This is a very large park with an equestrian facility. We only explored a fraction of it.

It was a sunny blue sky but still rather chilly and windy. The boys loved this park, though. We played on the playground, had a picnic lunch, and walked on some of the unpaved trails (and even found a geocache!).

I love the sky in this picture!

I like these little features for the kids to interact with

I had packed some cold things with an ice pack -- fruit cups, cheese, milk. They weren't too interested because of how chilly we were while eating. We tried to find a spot in the sun but next to a building to try to break the wind.

Zip zag!

(Note: We visited all 88 LFUCG parks in the span of a Covid year -- mid-March 2020 to February 2021. These are not meant to be extensive reviews but more a record of our experiences. Eventually I will add hyperlinks to all the blog entries here)
