Lexington Parks - Speigle Heights

Speigle Heights Park (424 Speigle St)
Location - off Versailles Rd, across the railroad tracks from the Distillery District
Playground? yes
Trails? no
Other? shelter, basketball court

This was one of our final parks to visit. The neighborhood made me a little uncomfortable, but we ended up staying here for at least an hour.

Sometimes, they act like puppies.

Practicing his climbing skills. He got to the top before I even realized he was climbing it!

You can kind of see the iconic warehouse mural from the Distillery District through the trees.

I think this was right after Mom-Mom was victorious in the chase-the-boys challenge.

Sun in our eyes, but still a little snow/ice on the ground.

They love when trains go by! They tried to count all the cars. Carter was really into trains as a kid, and I think it's still a part of him.

We also got to watch a car getting towed. Easy entertainment!

(Note: We visited all 88 LFUCG parks in the span of a Covid year -- mid-March 2020 to February 2021. These are not meant to be extensive reviews but more a record of our experiences. Eventually I will add hyperlinks to all the blog entries here)
