Lexington Parks - Hill-N-Dale

Hill N Dale Park (2351 Maplewood Dr.)
Location - in the Hill N Dale/Southland neighborhood, near Southland Park. There's a sidewalk entrance from Southview Dr, across from HollyHill Dr
Playground? yes (small)
Trails? yes (just going straight through the park)
Other? baseball field, shelter, basketball court, railroad ties to climb on, creek, adult swing

We love this little park! I came here often when our oldest two were little because it felt manageable since it was so small. It has a slide, swings, climbing rock, and merry-go-round (the old metal kind that is rare in Lexington parks anymore).  The boys also love exploring the creek and climbing on the logs and railroad ties. We've had house church (which I guess would be "park church") here before, and we've also attended some neighborhood block parties here.

On a hot summer day...

This isn't actually from the park but is when the little boys were taking a break while we were walking

Carter and I took a bike ride here over the summer

And we came back for a winter picnic (which aren't nearly as fun!)

(Note: We visited all 88 LFUCG parks in the span of a Covid year -- mid-March 2020 to February 2021. These are not meant to be extensive reviews but more a record of our experiences. Eventually I will add hyperlinks to all the blog entries here)
